Our founder's journey as an investigator began learning from the best: his father, Bob Crow. After 25 years of honorable service with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, Bob founded C & C Legal Investigations. In 2001, his son Jerry joined him, learning the craft until becoming a licensed private investigator in 2004. After Bob passed away in 2010, Jerry founded Crow Investigations to continue the family legacy.
Jerry brings a unique combination of skills to every case. Before his career in private investigation, he spent years in the IT industry at the cutting edge of technology. At Intel's DuPont site in the late 90s, he built the first active server monitoring system for their production lines. He later joined Diva Systems as a systems engineer, and then served as a senior systems engineer at Zama Networks during the dot-com boom. His original technical documentation on IPv6 was directly adapted into IPv6: Theory, Protocol, and Practice — the definitive textbook on the subject, used in academic and professional settings worldwide.
After leaving IT, Jerry spent 25 years as a private investigator specializing in criminal defense work, handling serious cases including aggravated murders, first degree robbery, and sexual assault investigations. Today, Jerry combines that analytical precision with deep expertise in how information moves.
